Treasure Island - Jim

I've shown off Long John a lot, so it might be time I introduce you more to the main character of the story...after all he's supposed to be the hero! But then I've always preferred the villain characters in the Disney movies.....

In any case, here are some sketches of Jim Hawkins!

I don't have anything finished to show yet unfortunately, but here is the current build of the main character. It's by NO means complete, I still have to work on the clothes, shoes, head, face, texture...well, everything really.
But I wanted to show something so here you are! :)

Only two months left til deadline....Let's see how far I can make this go!

Alice

Today's exercise: What did Alice (in Wonderland)  turn out like once she was grown up?

Turns out she got married, started writing, and her books about wonderland were a smash hit!
..But then her husband got smashed/hit by a rampaging circus elephant, and now she can't write any
more, so she resorts to heroin to get back to wonderland.....Poor Alice. :(

Those of you well versed in pirate lore might have guessed already, but there aren't that many one-legged pirates walking around without a wooden leg.
.....come on, you know which one I'm talking about?

I'm currently in the process of skinning and animating the characters for the trailer,
so expect some 3d screenshots soon.

This is from early development when I was trying to find a nice style for the characters.
I finally settled on a semi-cartoonish look with with heavy brushstrokes for the colors.

Yo ho ho! - Teaser

Production on my final year project at School is kicking in, and I'm really exited about it. :D

So here's a little teaser for all of you! It's not a finished image, but I busted up my hand doing this today, so you'll get to see the final result later.

I'm also working on a new website, but since I have to work on my project at the same time it's going slow. Hopefully I'll have something workable in a couple of months...

HOLY SHIT! I'M ALIVE!

Bloody hell I haven't posted in months. It's been so busy with work,
school starting again and more work. bleh.

NO idea if anyone is still coming around here, but here's a little something I just whipped up in a couple of hours tonight.
I found an old sketch I'd drawn over a photo of myself around 4-6 years ago.
I'd tried to color the sketch but never got anywhere. And tonight I tried it once more!
I'm rather flabberghasted by the result actually. Somehow something's clicked for me with colors lately. It's not perfect though, It's 3 am and there's still plenty of errors in the sketch, heh.
